When your doctor gives you a vitamin B-12 shot, he's
expecting a particular result. However, the average consumer
of vitamins needs to be aware of ' vitamin synergy '.
Basically, this means they work better in groups rather
then in singles. Take a 'B-complex ' and then add the specific
B-vitamin(s)[ie...folic acid, B12, B6...etc].
Other synergistic supplements are vitamin E mixed tocopherols-tocotrienols( alpha, beta, delta & gamma )...
many just take the alpha, yet recent studies indicate excessive
vitamin E-Alpha consumption impedes assimilation of the other tocopherols (especially Gamma )...also, synthetic vitamin E
( dl - alpha ) is not as healthy as natural E nor utilized in the
body the same way as the natural vitamin E.
Whole food carotenes' ( alpa & beta carotene, lutein, cryptoxanthin, zeaxanthin, assorted carotenoids- vitamin A co-factors ) work better as well, when drawing on one another.
Mother nature, knew what she was doing.
